Sound Mentorship
A space to deepen your
relationship with sound.
Sound Mentorship is an experiential exploration of sound, presence, listening and creative practice.
Together, we work with what’s alive in the moment, following your curiosity, the instruments, what you’re hearing and what you’re beginning to notice.
Along the way, we may explore:
• Becoming the Instrument
— presence, grounding, listening, intention and developing your own relationship with sound.
• Foundations of Sound
— resonance, vibration, harmonics, overtones, rhythm and silence.
• The Instruments
— technique, touch, pacing and learning to listen to how an instrument responds.
• Intuitive Listening
— trusting what you’re hearing, feeling and drawn toward.
• Relationships in Sound
— how notes, rhythm, resonance and silence interact and what happens when we begin connecting them.
• Sound as Practice
— using sound as a creative, contemplative and personal practice for deeper connection with yourself.
• Building a Journey
— weaving instruments, rhythm, resonance and silence into an intentional arc; understanding pacing, transitions, tension, release and return.
• Responding to the Room
— deepening intuitive listening beyond your personal practice; sensing what is happening when others are present, knowing when to add sound and when to leave space, and allowing the journey to evolve in response to what you’re hearing and feeling.
There is a framework, but not a rigid curriculum. The mentorship unfolds through experience, listening, playing, asking questions and allowing the instruments themselves to become part of the teaching.
You don’t need to be a musician or be interested in becoming a sound healer. You only need to be curious about sound.
